Tesla started production in 1922 under its original name of Radioslavia Ltd in Czechoslovakia. It has a long history of manufacturing high quality transmitting valves and defense equipment. The Tesla factory was known for making some outstanding valves. The Original EL34 better in terms of microphonics and reliability than the famous Mullard EL34, hence Marshall used the Tesla EL34 from the mid 1970s onwards. The frame grid E83CC was due to its construction the most expensive of it type to produce. Still to this day it is one of the best sounding ECC83/12AX7 types ever made. These are just a few of an endless list of pioneering valves produced by this great Czechoslovakian factory that sadly is no longer with us.

This small beam tetrode was used in the audio amplifiers of old home cinema equipment. It is also used as an output valve in high quality studio equipment. The 6AQ5 aka EL90 is basically the American 6V6GT design squeezed into the tiny B7G envelope.

Tesla used their own numbering 6L31 as these were supplied to the military and are tested for vibration and long life. The valve has high quality copper support rods with heat fins under the o ring getter. These are superbly built and were also used in many of the Tesla companies receivers

The Tesla are one of the best sounding 6AQ5 valves that I used in my Fender Music master bass combo, which I used for guitar and bass. This item is an ideal choice in audio or guitar amplifiers and high end studio equipment as sonically it is a real gem.
