Original USA made General Electric 6CG7/6FQ7 is used by many high end audio companies such as Audio Research and Stax headphones due to the GE having the most balanced, clear and detailed sound.
The classic GE sound stage which is big and open,with a transparent top end that has made the GE highly sought after in both audio and for guitar amplifiers. These valves are made in the USA and has the number etched into the glass and has the green GE lettering.
These valves are the first choice for Audio Research amplifiers and offer superb sound quality.
Here is an email from Mr David Rhodes who bought the Cryo version.
" Ive got the Stax Omega system which Ive had about two years after the sound quality started to change slightly I thought the valves might need replacing so I looked on the internet and came across Watford Valves , when phoning Watford Valves I spoke to Derek and asked him which valve he recommended and he advised the 6CG7/6FQ7 General Electric Cryo valve ,
I received four of them the other day and I have to say they are simply amazing , they produced a more transparent and detailed sound that I didnt think was possible from the SRM 007. The valves I got from Watford Valves do make the SRM 007 produce a wonderful sound."
