The Tungsram PL509 is one of the best sounding PL509/PL519 types available.
These were Dynamically Matched, which is in real operational conditions in special MATCHED PAIRS by the factory for use in OTL design amplifiers.

The valves were selected to the OEM specification to provide 80 m/a of current with a tolerance of +/- 10% with the negative grid bias of between -36 and -44 vdc. Valves that met the criteria were put into match pairs and quads to allow easy installation into production amplifiers
