Sylvania Electric Products Inc. based in Emporium, Pa was an American manufacturer electrical equipment and vacuum tubes In 1942 the company changed its name to Sylvania Electric Products Inc. In the early 1980s was Sylvania sold to Philips and the Philips ECG valves were produced in the Emporium plant until it closed
Original Ampeg printed Sylvania


Original USA made Sylvania 6BK11 with Ampeg printing that was found in the Ampeg jet 12and some model of the Ampeg reverb rocket amps. It is also found in some vintage Magnatone amps.

The 6BK11 is a very rare triple triode compactron valve. The valve has been unavailable for many years now with no exact replacement available.

The spec on the valve is triode One has an amplification factor of 70 mu with section 2 and 3 being 100 mu. So when these have gone you may wish to look at other compactions that have a similar spec.

We have a very small amount of these available made by Sylvania in the USA with the Original Ampeg markings. I doubt that I will ever see these again
