Many items are from companies such as G.E Mullard, RFT as they did not make valves themselves. Many items are of high quality as they were a major supplier to the M.o.D and N.A.T.O . Most valves were supplied to government contacts from their London show rooms
The 6BE6 is a valve used in Radio and Television industry.

These valves are from Z & I of the UK and were supplied to the UK government under the CV453 and 5750 type number.

The 6BE6 operation is a heptode or pentagrid valve. The heptode is used as a frequency changer in a superhet receiver. This valve is used to change frequency the incoming signal is mixed with a local oscillator. The electron stream is effectively switched on and off by the oscillator.
