Z & I or Zaerix as many people know them by where a UK company that sourced valves from around the world.

Many items are from companies such as G.E Mullard, RFT as they did not make valves themselves. Many items are of high quality as they were a major supplier to the M.o.D and N.A.T.O . Most valves were supplied to government contacts from their London show rooms
The 6EA8 was a miniature type used as combined oscillator and mixer in color and black & white television receivers.

Many technicians over the years have used the 6EA8 in place of a 7199 after modifying the circuit and valve connections as it uses
uses a different pin configuration.

These Z & I 6EA8 valves were supplied to the Nato military communication corps. The valve comes in The Z&I boxes with valves marked with valve type only, 6EA8.These were supplied in100pcs master cartons with the markings similar to CV9858
