Philips Electronics Components Group was the name given to the products marketed in America after Philips bought the American valve manufacturer Sylvania in the early 1980’s. Sylvania was a major manufacturer of valves and Philips bought them to get the lucrative American Government and military contracts. These valves are of the highest military grade which offer outstanding performance and were all made in the USA.
Original American made Philips special quality 6C4WA equivalent to the Nato CV4058. The valve was designed to work in the most demanding situations for the US Military as a long life cathode follower.

The Philips used the Sylvania design when they bought Sylvania and formed Philips EGC and produced this 6C4WA in the USA made for military Government contracts. The proven success of this design and the increased durability for military use along with its long life made this the first choice 6C4WA.

The valves feature a 14mm plate with ring getter and two support rods which run the length of the anode plate. These rods are tied into the top and bottom mica. The mica is also thicker that the standard mica seen on the 6C4 versions

Over the years this valve was by far our biggest selling item to the professional music industry.

The Philips 6C4WA Jan Spec was one of the most robust valves. This is why it was the first choice valve with music rental and hire companies for installation in Ampeg SVT amplifiers and Hammonds organs.

I am glad to have these back in stock in good quantities and at super price with quantity discounts and they come in the original government boxes.
