Orange AD200 Bass Classic Retro full revalve upgrade kit uses a combination of Harma ECC83 Retro & Harma Retro 6550A valves to give you the best sound out of this great bass head.

It is designed to give your AD200 as close to the old Mullard tone as possible in the preamplifier section with no fizz.

The Harma ECC83 Retros provides a harmonically rich and detailed sound with 3D midrange warmth that produces a huge tone. The outstanding feature of this valve is it smooth linear midrange response and extended frequency response so you get smooth warm clean bass notes with tight fat punchy lows.

The Harma 6550A has a rich warm transparent sound and supreme reliability.
The valve has a number of important features.

It uses special thick mica with internal bracing and spacing supports with full length anode heat wings to aid cooling capacity and provides improved heat transfer. The plate is constructed out of high temperature laminated alloy with an industrial grade glass envelope to prevent microphoney. The control grid wire is made of gold with a special coated screen grid to improve reliability.

In bass guitar amplifiers, the combination of these features supply a deep solid bass response with even balance a great high frequency detail. It also ensures that this valve has no harsh or course edges and does not compress when distortion or overdrive is added like some other 6550 on the market. This makes this the ideal choice to power your Orange.

The kit consists of 7 valves.

2 Specially Selected Harma ECC83 Retro
1 Specially Balanced Harma ECC81 STR for the phase splitter.
4 Specially Selected Harma 6550A Retro in a matched quad.
