Philips Electronics Components Group was the name given to the products marketed in America after Philips bought the American valve manufacturer Sylvania in the early 1980’s. Sylvania was a major manufacturer of valves and Philips bought them to get the lucrative American Government and military contracts.
These valves are of the highest military grade which offer outstanding performance and were all made in the USA.
Philips 6021W is a low impedance medium mµ double triode and is a super sub miniature wire lead valve that was designed for the military.It is shock and vibration resistant as was designed for use in avionics equipment to give reliable performance at altitudes of 60,000 feet. It is because of this valves excellent qualities it has found its way into modern effects pedals and compressors. The 6021W is the special quality version of the ECC70. This is Philips USA made in the original military boxes
