Original Tesla PL509 valves that were made in Czechoslovakia and have been dynamically matched in real operational conditions for use in for use in OTL designed amplifiers.
The valves were selected to the OEM specification to provide 80 m/a of current with a tolerance of +/- 10% with the negative grid bias of between -36 and -44 vdc. Valves that met the criteria were put into match pairs and quads to allow easy installation into production amplifiers
These come in the original Tesla boxes and the valves have production codes of 1982. We have a small quantity of these outstanding Audio Valves. This is a rare chance to buy this outstanding audio tube that can be used in many OTL designs.
There is no current production of this valve anywhere in the world and there has not been for many years so we will be unable to source this item again.

Tesla started production in 1922 under its original name of Radioslavia Ltd in Czechoslovakia.
It has a long history of manufacturing high quality transmitting valves and defense equipment.
The Tesla factory was known for making some outstanding valves. The Original EL34 better in terms of microphonics and reliability than the famous Mullard EL34, hence Marshall used the Tesla EL34 from the mid 1970s onwards. The frame grid E83CC was due to its construction the most expensive of it type to produce. Still to this day it is one of the best sounding ECC83/12AX7 types ever made. These are just a few of an endless list of pioneering valves produced by this great Czechoslovakian factory that sadly is no longer with us.
