The Mullard Radio Valve Co. Ltd was founded in 1920. In 1923,to meet the huge consumer demand in electronics Mullard entered an agreement with Philips of Holland and by 1926 Philips bought Mullard and established one of the greatest valve manufacturing companies in world history.

They developed many iconic valve such as the ECC83, EF86, EL34,EL37, EL84, GZ34 and GZ37.These are regarded as the best valves of their type ever made and original Mullard items are high prized by Musicians Broadcasters and Audiophiles the world over due to their sound quality. Gold Pin Version



The Mullard E55L was a special quality pentode designed as a high gain low impedance video output valve. These were used in high quality equipment such as the Tektronix oscilloscopes amplifier section.

The Mullard description of this valve is Special quality high slope output pentode intended for general industrial applications where stability of characteristics and long life are required.

This item FULLY tested by us but due to the age of the print this has rubbed off a little in the testing process. The item has gold pins all have Mullard logo and E55L print with some items dual marked with the CV5808 marking.All made in Great Britain
