Thermionic Culture Ltd. was formed in England in 1998 by Vic Keary and Jon Bailes to manufacture state of the art valve studio equipment. Vic Keary credentials are the best in the business as not only has he mixed, produced and engineered but also he designed the equipment that was used on countless hit records in his days at Lansdowne, Chalk Farm Studios & Chiswick Reach. Jon Bailes is an expert designer in the electronic manufacturing industry.

Our valve revalve kits use only the highest grade new old stock valves and the best of the modern made valves. We have put these kits together to allow easy ordering for our studio customers.
Thermionic Culture Solo Vulture Full revalve kit consists of a set of selected valves to provide the best sonic and audio performance from this legendary piece of studio equipment.

The Harma ECC83 STR features an internally rugged construction with thick mica supports. This has a number of advantages such as reduced microphonics and better isolation from vibration. The Harma ECC83 STR is used as it provides one of the most clean and neutral sounds out of all the current production ECC83/12AX7 types.

The difference is in the distortion or enhancer valve and here we use a special quality General Electric military 5725W 6AS6W for its unique distortion characteristics. The GE item is what many professional customers have told us is the best valve sounding valve for this unit hence why we use it in all our Kits

This is still the only studio unit dedicated to just adding valve produced harmonic distortion to the sound. Audio professionals the world over have acknowledged the Culture Vulture as the best unit for adding a unique tube-driven harmonic distortion. The Solo Vulture is the single channel version

The grids windings are all gold plated as were the original Telefunken valves and the Harma ECC83-STR provides one of the most neutral vintage tone of all the current production ECC83/12AX7 types.
We also use a special quality General Electric military 5725W 6AS6W for its unique distortion characteristics
