In1968 the electronics business of Thomson-Brandt merged with Compagnie Générale de Telegraphy Sans Fil (CSF) to form Thomson CSF. This was a major French electronic valve and semi conductor manufacturer.
This 6AB6W 5749 is a special quality version of the 6BA6, EF93 which is a miniature screened pentode with a B7G base. These are very high quality items made for the French military by Thomson CSF.

For audio applications this has been our most popular item as it is has a long life expectancy and excellent sound characteristics. The valve has the cylindrical grey black anode plate and comes in the original CSF box.
