These specially chosen pre amp upgrades kits are designed to give deliver the sound that you want from your Marshall amplifier. Our low gain kits provide the cleanest sound in the pre amp stage which many players like. Our medium gain kit simply removes the edge off the sound and provides a later breakup when compared to a regular ECC83 type. The number in the title indicates the amount of gain reduction the kit provides. Our standard gain Classic kit is our most popular as this delivers a sound as close to the classic Mullard 3d midrange tone. With this kit you get a smooth warm crunch which is rich in harmonics and detail. Our High gain kit provides the same tone with earlier break up and maximum over drive. We then select these and supply these in special sets for Marshall Owners.
Our Harma ECC83 Retro Classic preamp kits consist of a specially selected set of Harma ECC83 Retro preamp valves. These valves are specially drive tested by us and checked for noise and microphoney. This will ensure that you get the best sounding and selected valves for your amplifier.

The Harma ECC83 Retro is a true sounding recreation of the famous Mullard ECC83. This valve replicates the warm detail and harmonically rich midrange that made the Mullard sound so famous.

The outstanding feature of the Harma Retro valve is that when it is overdriven it provides a warm sustaining sound with plenty of upper harmonics. This combined with its smooth linear 3 dimensional midrange response and extended low frequency response means you get smooth fat warm overdrive with tight punchy lows. The ECC83 Retro retains the classic Marshall crunch and perfectly captures that classic vintage Marshall sound better than all the other ECC83/12AX7 that I have tried.
