Sylvania Electric Products Inc. based in Emporium, Pa was an American manufacturer electrical equipment and vacuum tubes In 1942 the company changed its name to Sylvania Electric Products Inc. In the early 1980s was Sylvania sold to Philips and the Philips ECG valves were produced in the Emporium plant until it closed

This American made Sylvania 6SL7GT was made in the heyday of American production. This is a rugged American 6SL7 valve which is one of the best valves and most sort after for audio applications.

The valve has a very musical sound with smooth midrange and a balanced well-rounded bass response and a little more treble detail than many other 6SL7 types. Excellent imagery and clear presentation makes it very popular in high end audio and headphone amplifiers.
