In the early 1980s was Sylvania sold to Philips and the Philips ECG valves were produced in the Emporium plant until it closed

Sylvania VT229

American made Sylvania 6SL7GT VT229 is a special quality version made for the US Army and Navy avionics. These date from the mid-1940's and where made with the highest quality materials.

The outstanding feature of the VT229 is it's speed and top end clarity which has made it an audio gem. It has excellent definition with wonderful 3D imaging and superb balance across the audio spectrum. The valve is musical and will upgrade any high end audio and headphone amplifier.

This valve sonically outperforms modern made 6SL7 and is from the heyday of this types production. We only have a limited stock of this rare audio gem.
