VHT amplifiers have been around for 20 years and are best known for it's boutique range of amplifiers. Many of their designs are based on classic American amplifiers and British amplifiers of the past. In recent years VHT have made a range of hardwired amplifiers in China which are easy to modify as they have used traditional turret board. This full revalve kit is designed to give you the best clean sound with the maximum clarity when playing clean with a smooth distortion when you overdrive the amplifier.

The Harma ECC83 STR is used to maintain the amps sparkling clean sounds. The mid-range is clean and transparent which removes the mush from the sound when the amplifier is overdriven. The valve responds very well to pedals and crunches up with a fat well balanced tone.

In the output stage we use the Harma E84L as this has proved to be one of the most reliable EL84 available. The Harma E84L is a high quality special application military valve that has a rugged construction and thick glass which reduces microphonics and rattles in all guitar combos. The valve produces a deep clear bass response, clear mids and smooth highs.

It delivers the maximum clean headroom out of any current EL84 providing a rich warm overdrive sound when distorted with excellent balance and no hardness. This is the special burst tested version of the E84L that is tested on the rig built for Brian May for the ultimate reliability.

This combination of a transparency in the input stage and a clean output stage gives you the perfect marriage of clean and crunch sounds.
