One of the most famous American Valve manufactures of all time. RCA was responsible for designing and manufacturing many important valves such is the 6V6GT, 6L6GC, 7027a and the super EL84 known as 7189. RCA also pioneered many advances in manufacture such as the black plate coating and had a hand in helping GEC make the famous KT66.
Original RCA ECL82 6BM8 valve which is described in the original design data as an audio triode and output pentode in one glass envelope. This is a very complex valve to manufacture hence why there is no production of this type in the world today.

This valve was very popular in audio application such as radio grams

The RCA is very well designed with the famous long plate ladder design for the triode section and their classic pentode plate structure as used in their EL84/7189A designs

This valve gives clear detailed top end with the muscular punch that is associated with RCA pentodes. The RCA is very well balanced with clear musical presentation which makes it ideal in headphone applications
