Our Vox Cryo full upgrade kits are designed to get the best sound out of your Vox. Our Classic Retro Cryo kits have been by far our most popular as many owners have found that the Cryo treated valves have helped them find their sonic signature and improved the sound of their amplifiers. By upgrading the valves to selected Cryo valves they have noticed the additional benefits such as better clarity, larger and improved sound stage with increased reliability. Here we have listed our most common upgrades to the Vox range.
JJ valves a renowned around the world for their sound quality. So the cryo process transforms a good sounding valve into a great sounding item.

The cryogenic process gives the JJ a smoother richer tone resulting in the imaging having more focus and bite. The JJ now has a warmer sound which is a clear and has better high end resolution. It has exceptional note clarity with improved definition in clean mode.

The JJ EL84 Cryo is the best sounding version of JJ EL84 valve available today.

The Cryo treatment enhances the overall performance of this valve by providing deeper more controlled bass with added depth and weight. It provides extended clarity in the high end and upper midrange. The extended clarity in the high end and upper midrange is an excellent addition in clean playing situations.

In overdriven mode the JJ EL84 Cryo is very easy to overdrive providing a warm and natural distortion with a little compression. The Cryo treatment enhances the EL84 valves overload characteristic which results in a harmonically rich lead guitar sound which is fatter and tighter with a great singing natural sustain when the valve is pushed into distortion.

These features are simply not available in the standard untreated version of the JJ valves
