These Mazda 6X4 are in fact the very high quality Czech made Tesla 6Z31 aka 6X4 EZ90 and were no doubt imported by Mazda for supply in the UK market to compete with Mullard.
These valve are labelled 6X4 in white print no logo and really are an audio bargain.
The design of this valve is very clever the Czech engineers used and a smaller glass envelope of approx 45mm as opposed to the UK an American 55mm. The valve has thick chrome anode supports on all four sides of the anode plate.
The design resulted in a mechanically solid and vibration proof in valve in mobile applications. The solid internal anode support bracing and the smaller glass envelope makes this valve a mechanically superior to other 6X4. No wonder Mazda used this valve for their own brand.
These valves have proved to be excellent in in all audio applications in vintage amps and Hammond organs. They offer outstanding audio sound quality and long life at a price below the American and British made 6X4 EZ90.
The valve come printed with just 6X4 and come in the original Mazda box.
