These Ampeg full revalve kits are put together to provide a sonic upgrade to your Ampeg. I own and have played over the past 30 years Ampeg SVT, Original V4B and for recording used the B15-N portaflex.These amps are still the kings of bass amplifier in my opinion and these kits use the best of New Old Stock valves and modern day production items to give you the best sound out of these lengendary bass amps.

Our JJ revalve kits consist of a specially selected set of JJ ECC83S preamp valves combined with selected and matched set JJ output valves. This will provide an outstanding upgrade to your amp.

All preamp valves in our Ampeg kits are specially selected for gain, low noise and low microphoney. All output valves are burnt in dual matched on current and output gain and are supplied in a specially matched sextet.

JJ valves a renowned around the world for their sound quality. They produce a smooth clear high end with a clean and clear treble. The midrange is full and well balanced with a tight and well defined bass end. The JJ 6550 is superbly well balanced with the mids sitting in the correct position and providing plenty of detail. Top end is clear without being harsh and the low end bass response is very tight with plenty of depth and detail.
