Philips Electronics Components Group was the name given to the products marketed in America after Philips bought the American valve manufacturer Sylvania in the early 1980’s. Sylvania was a major manufacturer of valves and Philips bought them to get the lucrative American Government and military contracts. These valves are of the highest military grade which offer outstanding performance and were all made in the USA.

This is a special balanced version with matched triode sections for use in in critical positions such as phase inverter position in Audio & Guitar amplifiers.

This original USA made military grade JAN specification Philips ECC81 12AT7WC was made for the US Government under military contract.

This American made ECC81/12AT7WC is one of the best 12AT7 on the market today. We have used these for many years in audio and guitar amplifiers with very great results.

The valve has a very clear and warm response with lower background noise than many current production ECC81/12AT7 types. In audio circuits it has a very detailed musical presentation with excellent note definition. Its warm sound makes it a great choice for reverb valves in Fenders.

The Philips 12AT7WC had many unique design features which was specified for military applications, such as its resilience to vibration which makes particularly good in combo applications.

This is one of the best ECC81 types and an outstanding buy.
