One of the most famous American Valve manufactures of all time. RCA was responsible for designing and manufacturing many important valves such is the 6V6GT, 6L6GC, 7027a and the super EL84 known as 7189. RCA also pioneered many advances in manufacture such as the black plate coating and had a hand in helping GEC make the famous KT66.
6AN8A RCA is a triode pentode that is used in many vintage guitar amps and Hi-Fi systems.

The pentode section provides the amplification while the triode is usually used as a phase splitter.

The RCA 6AN8A is a very high quality item that was made to very tight quality control. This was the first choice brand of many American Audio manufactures.

This item is now hard to find item that is used in old guitar Gibson guitar amps, in some Ampeg designs and American Vintage Hi-Fi systems.
