These specially chosen Cryo pre amp upgrades kits are designed to give what many Marshall owners have wanted for years, Smooth warm crunch with rich harmonics and detail . We have chosen a valve that which gives as close to the classic Mullard 3d midrange tone and smooth even crunch as is possible. We then select these and supply these in special sets for Marshall Owners. Marshall amplifiers are voice of Rock and Roll past, present and in future.These amplifiers have been used by all the music legends. From Clapton's fierce bluesbreaker solos with John Mayall, to the powerhouse slam of Jimmy Page in Led Zeppelin to Steve Jones awesome sound with his JCM800. These Cryo Kits are designed by using specially selected valves and put together to enable you to get the best out of your particular amplifier. These are the closest approach to the original sound.

Later Break up

This Harma 12AX7WA Vintage cryo preamp upgrade kit is an answer to many players requests for a late break up ECC83/12AX7 type.

The late break allows your pre amp to be cleaner which in turn does not drive your output valves as hard allowing you to get that power amp distortion more naturally resulting in more of your amps tone. Ideal if you use pedals to overdrive your amplifier as the valve does not go thin and mushy and due to its late break up and nonaggressive manner remains cleaner longer.

The Harma Vintage 12AX7WA Cryo was designed by the factory to combine the two most vital characteristics of the most famous ECC83 types. The famous Mullard fat midband that produces warm and thick mid sound with excellent note the definition. The master stroke is that the Harma 12AX7WA retains the sparkle and chime that is found in the great vintage American General Electric 12AX7WA. It has the GE style large soundstage and gives the clean channel that chiming top end sparkle without being brittle or hard.

This is a specially cryogenically treated version offers improvements in top end detail giving better transparency and definition over the standard version. The mid band sees improvements in detail and warmth and the bass response become sharper and more musical. The other factor that guitarists find the major reason for choosing this valve is that it has more bite and has a smoother more harmonic distortion with later breakup.

This 4 valve set is specially selected for Marshall Amplifiers and covers all Marshall Models that have a 4 valve pre amp section with the phase inverter in the V 4 position. These include Vintage & Modern models 2266c,2266,2466,DSL series such as DSL2001, DSL401, DSL50 &DSL100 and TSL series such as TSL60, TSL601, TSL602 ,TSL100,TSL122 with a 4 valve pre amp section.

All Harma preamp valves are Dynamically Drive tested under real working condition have passed the following tests:
