Original Tungsram EF86 with side flashing is one of the best European produced EF86
These are the rare Industrial grade version that has a light grey cylindrical anode construction with side two side vent flashing on each side.

The valve features the grey electrostatic barrel which wraps around the plates with mica spaces which support the anode structure in the glass. This design was pioneered by Telefunken as it Offers better structural rigidity exceptional durability.

This results in making the valve very resilient to vibration and the valve also has a very low noise floor. This design concept was also used by Siemens as well as Tesla because of the above advantages

High grade rhodium pins which are not corrosive and have better transfer characteristic than gold.

These are excellent audio valves as they provide a detailed warm sound with excellent balanced with superb image and detail. This makes them an ideal replacement in audio amplifiers such as the QUAD 11 and Vintage Leak pre amps as well as guitar amplifier applications. such as Vox, Blackstar, Badcat, 65 amplifiers and Matchless
