Gold Pin
The Electro Harmonix ECC83 12AX7 Gold pin is one of the best sounding current production 12AX7/ECC83 types made today.
The valve has a very rigid internal construction, thick grade glass and short 14mm plates which make the EH very low microphonics. The valve offers a very detailed and balanced sound with a very low noise floor. Some audio customers have told us that the valve is great sounding and rival some NOS valves for it tonal quality.
In Guitar amplifier applications the valve breaks up easily and quickly and has a well balanced sound with good clarity. The valve it is well suited to vintage as well as current high gain guitar amplifiers as it has the punch without any Fizz.
Since its introduction we have found this to be very consistent performer which has also received rave reviews in the United States.
We offer these in Specially Selected Balanced triode sections in matched pairs for High End Audio applications.
These Balanced preamp valves are Dynamically Drive tested under real working condition and are matched on dB gain. They also have passed the following tests:

The Gold series valves are factory selected for conformity to the valve types specification and have gold plate pins.
Many of these valve designs are new designs based on old classic new old stock items.
