Mazda PP3/250 was Mazdas answer to the PX4 and is one of the classic audio power triode valves.
The Valve has Mazda sister brand logo on the front Bentley Acoustic PX4 and on the dome top of the valve it has the Mazda identification PP/250 with the BVA logo and Type designation etched into the glass surface. Rare PP3/250 PX4 Balloon Shape Triode Valve Made in England
This is an early version because it has the balloon shape and the electrode supports including the filament tension springs are held in a glass rod to the side of the anode. The wide anode is ribbed to give mechanical rigidity and has the blackened anode plate to radiate heat efficiently.
Please note these PX4 were purchase by our customer, who was a collector as new in 1990
The test settings on the valves were -40 VDC ,300 Va and tested on an Avo 163. His wife assures us that they have not be used. I have retested these valves and have verified the test setting as the same on our calibrated Avo VCM 163 as the day he purchased them.
I have no doubt that this is correct but in the interested of clarity I am selling these valves as used given the age.
These have been Avo Tested and have passed all tests and matched on g/M
