In the early 1980s was Sylvania sold to Philips and the Philips ECG valves were produced in the Emporium plant until it closed

Early military specification Jan CHS American Sylvania 6K6GT with clear glass and black round ribbed anode and bottom square getter.

Sylvania was the original valve used by Fender along with the RCA in Fender Reverb units.

The Sylvania 6K6GT provides a very clear and clean sound which makes it excellent in Fender reverbs.
