ARS introduced the dual section can capacitors at the end of the 1990's.These are used by many major OEM's such as Marshall, HI Watt and Laney. They are replicas of the LCR blue can capacitor and made to higher specifications and with a long life rating consistent life performance (3000hrs). These are standard equipment in many handmade amplifiers as it is claimed that these provide the classic LCR sound. The dual section 50 plus 50 dual section capacitors are used by many original equipment manufacturers including Marshall amplifiers.
ARS 220 uf 400 volt AXIAL capacitors designed to be an upgrade for in Mesa Boogie amplifiers.

The capacitor has been made with the same dimensions as the original Mesa Sprauge item of 25mm x 63mm.

The capacitor has two major upgraded features over the original capacitors.

First it has an increased voltage rating of 400 volts as opposed to 300 volts of the Sprauge Mesa item. The second is that it has a higher temperature 105°C vs 85°C. This has been done as it significantly extends the capacitors life span especially in hot countries.

Many repairers, particularly in the United states have commented on the poor reliability
of the IC aka illinois capacitors. Many have commented on how good these ARS items sound and have switched to ARS this is no doubt down to the high specification and high levels of quality control that ARS use.

ARS capacitors are used by the biggest names in the amplifier equipment manufacture the world over.

These items in Axial format 220 uf with 400 volt working and are ideal replacement and upgrade in other guitar amplifier and related audio applications.

This is a perfect upgrade for Fender amps such as the Bassman 135, 135 Twin Reverb, .
As It is higher rated than the vintage Mallory 220uF 285V axial cap and has the advantage of being slightly smaller the the 25mm x 66mm of the Mallory.

Upgrades the capacitors in Mesa Boogie Bass 400 plus and also Dual Rectifies and Boogie Mark Series II through to Mark V.
