Electro Harmonix is the top end brand which is owned by the Sovtek corp. Many of these valve designs are new designs based on old classic items.
The Electro Harmonix EL84 provides excellent performance in both audio and guitar applications. The valve has been designed to recreate the sound and performance of the classic European EL84.

In guitar amps The EH crunches sooner and the distortion is fatter and more musical when overdriven when compared to some other EL84 when pushed.

In audio applications it supplies clear and precise bass with a smooth top end with a warm musical mid range. The real strong points of the Electro Harmonix EL84 is its trade mark larger than life sound. In a good Audio amps these valves just fill the room with excellent speed and dynamics.

This valve offers better performance than many nos valves which is why it is very popular in vintage audio restoration for amps such as the Mullard 510 & Leak stereo 20 as well as Vintage guitar amplifiers such as the Vox AC15 & AC30.

This is an excellent all round EL84 for any application.
